Hello, my name is Carissa, and I am a neurodiverse person centred psychotherapist (MA, MNCPS Acc).
I have experience working with both adults and young people using a relational, trauma-informed and inclusive approach. With you at the centre of all the work, I am here to help you navigate your lived experience.
There is no “one size fits all” approach. I will work alongside and will be guided by you to find the approach that best suits your needs in the here-and-now, grounded in trust, safety, collaboration, empowerment, and your choice.
Clients I work with:
I work with adults aged 18+, particularly those who are neurodivergent or exploring neurodiversity. I offer counselling using a humanistic, person-centred approach, tailoring support to the needs of each individual as no two people are the same. The work is relational and co-created as I help you navigate your lived experience.
Types of Therapy:
Person Centered, Humanistic, Gestalt and Creative approaches.
Areas of Experience:
My work supports experiences such as anxiety, burnout, low self-esteem, identity exploration, and understanding neurodivergent diagnoses and behaviours. I believe that we are the experts in our own lives, with relational and co-created work I will meet you where you are in your therapeutic journey.
